Join Us in Building the Jewish Future of Stockholm as our new Project Manager for Young Professionals
There is a place in the Jewish world where the Orthodox, Conservative/Masorti, and Reform rabbis have friendly, collegial relations.
There is a place in the Jewish world where young people are leading the process to plan the community’s future.
There is a place in the Jewish world where investments are being made not in the fight against anti-semitism, but in the campaign to create vibrant Jewish life in the future.
That place is Stockholm, Sweden. And we need you.
You are...
- A Jewish educator, community builder, or experience designer.
- Excited by the opportunity to shape the future of Jewish life in one of the most interesting Jewish communities in the world.
- The right person to design and run a transformative Jewish communal engagement strategy that could serve as a role model for Jewish communities everywhere.
Like many Jewish communities around the world, the Jewish Community of Stockholm is facing significant challenges. In response, we are launching Nativ 2055 — a long-term strategic initiative to ensure a strong, vibrant, and sustainable Jewish future in Stockholm.
The initiative focuses on three key groups:
- Children in primary school (grades 1–6)
- Teenagers in middle and high school
- Young professionals
We are now hiring a Project Manager for Young Professionals, who will also lead the broader Nativ 2055 project team, supervise additional project managers for the other target groups, and serve as part of the Community’s leadership team.
This is a full-time, three-year position. By the end of the project period, the initiative is expected to be fully integrated into the Community’s ongoing operations.
Help us create meaningful Jewish life — for today’s young professionals, their children, and future generations.
Who You Are
- An attentive listener and excellent communicator
- Deeply knowledgeable about Jewish life and passionate about meaningful Jewish engagement
- Someone who sees Judaism as a source of joy and is inspired by empowering others
- Creative and visionary — able to think outside the box and inspire others to share your vision
- A practical doer who can turn ideas into reality
- A leader and role model who positively influences people around you
- A relationship builder who understands that a thriving Jewish community is greater than the sum of its individuals
- A Jewish leader with a pluralist outlook who can interact with rabbis, educators and adult Jews from different denominations and backgrounds
- Looking for a meaningful professional opportunity with room for personal and professional growth
What You Will Do... You will inspire, engage, and lead by:
- Identifying the needs of the target group and creating programs together with participants
- Organizing and overseeing inclusive events that welcome people from diverse Jewish backgrounds
- Being a Jewish model in the way you participate, contribute to, and educate about Jewish life
- Lowering barriers to participation in Jewish communal life
- Strengthening partnerships with Jewish organizations locally and internationally
- Collaborating with institutions such as Paideia, Jewish organizations in Sweden and abroad, religious leaders in Stockholm, and Jewish youth movements
- Recruiting and engaging volunteers within the target group
- Communicating and integrating the project vision across the organization so that the work becomes fully embedded in the Community’s long-term operations
What We Offer
- A unique opportunity to help transform the future of Jewish communal life in Stockholm
- The chance to make a lasting impact on future generations
- A position as part of the Community’s leadership team
- Opportunities for professional development
- Wellness benefits and flexible working hours
- Salary range Euro 3 000 – 4 000, based on experience and seniority
